PartⅠ Useful Sentences

※Visiting a friend 拜访朋友
1.I thought I'd drop in to see how you're getting along.
—我想过来看看你的近况如何。
2.I hope I'm not interrupting.
—希望我没有打扰你。

※Visiting a friend who is ill 看望生病的朋友
1.What's wrong with you?

★Dialogue

A: Just look what I've done! It was a new car. What am I going to do?
B: Look—it's happened; and it can't be helped. It's not the end of the world, you know. And you had a lucky escape.
A: Yes, I know. I'm all right. It's the car…
B: Well, they can do marvellous repairs, you know, when they've finished it'll look just like new.
A: I hope you're right.
B: Of course I am. Cheer up!

译文 Translation

A：瞧，我这是怎么搞的！这可是辆新车啊，我怎么办才好呢？
B：听我说，事情已经发生了，也只好这样了，毕竟天还没塌下来。再说你能脱险，已经够幸运了。
A：是的，我知道，我没事的，只是这车……
B：好啦，你知道修车的总有办法的。等修好了这车看起来和新的一样。
A：但愿你说得对。
B：当然没错。别再发愁了（振作点）！
